What's the "matter"?

On December 4th, Mr. Papadonis gave an amazing science presentation to all fourth graders on MATTER!

What is matter? Matter is anything that takes up space. It can be a solid, a liquid or a gas. We learned that a solid has a definite shape and a liquid takes the shape of its container... But can you fill a large trash bag with a gas? Kenney did! Air! A gas that is always around us. SO COOL!

The fourth graders were good listeners and participated with great enthusiasm! Way to go super scientists! Ms. Hayes was also a participant...LUCKY! Check it out!

We Heart Wilson!

Ms. Pavlicek joined our Morning Meeting Monday, November 30th. We were so happy to have her! It's always nice to have a special visitor! She shared a special presentation on animal behavior and a particular breed of dogs called, Newfoundland.

Students learned that Newfoundland dogs are not only strong dogs, but are also amazing swimmers, enjoy being around children, and are loving and patient animals.

Ms. Pavlicek "said" she forgot something in her car... We couldn't believe it!!! It was Wilson!
